§ Dr. Edmund Marshallasked the Secretary of State for Defence what is the present position in respect of the ownership and use of the residential accommodation previously occupied by personnel of HMS "Mauritius".
§ Mr. DuffyAll residential accommodation previously owned by the Ministry of Defence and occupied by personnel of HMS "Mauritius" reverted free of charge to the Government of Mauritius with effect from the date of British withdrawal on 31st March 1976 in accordance with the terms of the 1968 Agreement on Mutual Defence and Assistance (Cmnd. 3629). The use of this accommodation after that date is, therefore, a matter for the Government of Mauritius.
