§ Mr. CarterI understand that my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Education and Science has written to the National Union of Students agreeing to the proposal for a meeting with officials of his Department. My noble Friend the Minister of State has taken steps to ensure that he is informed of the outcome of these discussions, and he will then consider what action may be necessary.
