HC Deb 21 October 1976 vol 917 cc522-3W
Mr. Gould

asked the Secretary of State for Trade how the volume and value of trade in motor cars with the EEC Six in each direction in 1976 to date compares with the estimate made at the time of the publication of the White Paper on the economic consequences of joining the EEC.

Mr. Meacher

At the time of the White Paper no estimates were made of the level of trade in passenger motor cars expected in 1976. Recorded trade in the first eight months of this year was as follows: —

TRADE IN PASSENGER MOTOR CARS WITH THE EEC SIC IN JANUARY—AUGUST 1976
