§ Mr. Michael McNair-Wilsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department when he expects the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board to announce its award to the three Welsh Guardsmen who were injured in an IRA bomb attack on a public house at Caterham in 1974: and how many members of the Armed Services are awaiting information about their awards.
§ Mr. JohnI understand that a number of applications to the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board from Welsh Guardsmen injured by the bomb which exploded at Caterham in August 1975 are still unresolved. It is not the policy of the Board to announce publicly awards to individual applicants. If the hon. Member cares to send me particulars of the individuals about whom he is concerned I will make enquiries. The board, however, does not classify unresolved applications according to the occupation of the applicant.
