§ Miss Margaret JacksonInformation on the location of students in England and Wales taking GCE A level subjects is not available from the Examining Boards' returns to my Department. The total number of A level passes in French for all boards for the summer examinations in the years 1970, 1972, 1974 and 1975, the latest year available, were 18,049; 17,393; 17,135; 16,919 respectively.
