§ Mr. BoothI am informed by the certification officer that 53 certificates of independence have so far been issued to trade unions and staff associations not affiliated to the TUC. I am at present consulting the main interested organisations about the legislation relating to certification of independence following the statement made by my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Industry during the Third Reading debate on the Aircraft and Shipbuilding Industries Bill on 29th July.
