Friend, the former Minister of State for Defence announced on 11th February—[Vol. 886, c. 221]—five new Royal Navy ships are being provided for offshore tasks including the enforcement of future fishing limits and the protection of oil installations in the North Sea. The first is92W due to come into service in December and the remainder during 1977.
