§ Mr. Rookerasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will instruct regional and area health authorities not to use closed sessions to discuss officers' comments on audit reports.
§ Mr. MoyleUnder the Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960, public bodies including health authorities may by resolution exclude the public from the whole or part of a meeting whenever publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest. I would hope that authorities would only choose to do so after 111W careful consideration, but I would not wish to stipulate the circumstances in which they should or should not exclude the public.
