§ Mr. Beithasked the Secretary of State for the Environment what consultations he intends to undertake before making appointments to replace the members of the Northumbria Water Authority for which he is responsible and whose terms of office expire on 31st December 1976.
§ Mr. Denis HowellThere is no statutory requirement to hold consultations before making these appointments, but I have, naturally, undertaken informal discussions with a range of interests involved.
