§ Mr. Alexander Fletcherasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science why the United Kingdom Government has not signed the Protocol on the Setting-up of European Schools; if it is the intention to sign this Protocol; and if she is aware that British children of Eurocentre officials are being disadvantaged by this omission.
§ Mr. OakesThe United Kingdom adhered to the Statute of the European School, including the 1962 Protocol on the Setting-up of European Schools, on 1st September 1972. I will write to the hon. Member to explain the position in regard to British children of Eurocontrol officials.
