HC Deb 22 November 1976 vol 919 c879W
Mr. Andrew F. Bennett

asked the Attorney-General how long the papers in the Bryant Builders (Birmingham) case have been with the Director of Public Prosecutions; and when he expects the Director of Public Prosecutions to announce his decisions as to what action he is going to take.

The Attorney-General

In September 1974 a short preliminary report was received from the police in respect of the affairs of Bryant Builders. This was followed by further interim reports until the main report was received in June 1976. Further inquiries are being made, but they are complicated and it is not possible for me to say when the Director of Public Prosecutions will reach a decision.
