HC Deb 22 November 1976 vol 919 cc974-5W
Mr. Sproat

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what estimate he has made of the number of employed persons who would be better off not working than working, if they claimed all the benefits in cash and goods to which they are entitled and taking into account that wages are taxable but benefits are not taxable.

Mr. Orme

Estimates of this kind are not available.
