HL Deb 18 November 1976 vol 377 cc1589-90WA
Lord CHELWOOD

asked Her Majesty's Government:

When the Bullock Committee will report and whether they will give an assurance that at least three months will be allowed for consultation before a Bill is presented to Parliament, even if it is only permissive in character.

Lord ORAM

My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Trade expects to receive the Committee's report before the end of this year. An adequate period for consultation will be allowed before legislation is introduced in Parliament.
