§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will place in the Library one copy of every single form, leaflet, or document issued by his Department or on behalf of it, which can be filled up by a person claiming social security benefit, or by an officer of his Department filling up a form in respect of a person claiming benefit, or any document whatsoever which gives information to the public about social security benefits.
§ Mr. DeakinsCopies of social security leaflets are already available in the 627W Library. There are more than 1,500 other forms and documents. If these were placed in the Library, to keep them up to date would involve an unnecessary administrative burden. If the hon. Member would like to examine forms relating to any particular benefit, copies will be sent to him.
