§ Mr. BoothOn 14th October 1976, 1,320,923 people were registered as unemployed in Great Britain, 74,192 fewer than in September. Seasonally adjusted unemployment also fell, by 11,900. This reduction was welcome, but there is still a long way to go before a satisfactory level is reached.
