§ Mr. ConcannonBy virtue of the Fisheries Act (Northern Ireland) 1966 my right hon. Friend has overall responsibility for the supervision and protection of fisheries and for fostering the establishment and development of fisheries in Northern Ireland. In the case of salmon and inland fisheries the functions of conservation, protection and improvement have in the first instance been made the responsibility of the Foyle Fisheries Commission in the Londonderry area, and the Fisheries Conservancy Board for Northern Ireland in the rest of Northern Ireland.
