asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what is the full amount of the grant from the European farm fund allocated so far this year to Northern Ireland.

Mr. Concannon

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 15th November 1976; Vol. 919, c. 446], gave the following information:

The total amount of grant allocated to individual capital projects in Northern Ireland from the European Agricultural Guidance and Guarantee Fund since 1st January 1976 is £2,707,755.

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what are the purposes for which the grant from the European Farm Fund has been used in Northern Ireland.

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 15th November 1976; Vol. 919, c. 446], gave the following information:

The grant has been allocated to projects which promote the objectives of the common agricultural policy by improving efficiency in production processing and marketing. Projects approved during 1976 concern milk, pig, and poultry processing; milk bottling; cold storage; apple, potato and seed processing; grain storage and drying; apple storage; protein recovery and the construction of fishing boats.
