§ Mr. GoldingI am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that, under the employment transfer scheme, the number of people who received household removal assistance in the year ended 30th September 1976 totalled 7,553. This assistance may include one or more of the following: removal expenses, rehousing grant and a grant towards the cost of legal fees for buying and/or selling property. In the same period expenditure on these items totalled £4,742,505.
