§ Mr. EnnalsFollowing is the information, based on the rates very shortly coming into operation, which compare with the current rate of family allowances of £1.50 for each child in a family after the first. Except where indicated, the increases shown are payable in addition to any family allowances. The rates for the first child are generally £1.50 higher to take account of the fact that family allowances will not be payable.
