§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will order an inquiry into the methods by which James and Hazel Wilson defrauded his Department of £75 to £80 a week for 11 months, in order to improve security arrangements.
§ Mr. OrmeThe facts of this case, in which action by members of the staff of my Department led to the arrest and conviction of the defendants, have been known to me for some time and I had already announced on 21st September last various measures my Department is taking to strengthen our defences against this type of fraud.
