§ Mr. GoldingIt is estimated that there were 33,100 employees in employment in the tobacco industry in Great Britain at August 1976. The employment information available for local areas comes from the annual census of employment; the latest results for June 1975, show that there were large concentrations of these employees in the Basildon, Bristol, Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle-upon-Tyne Nottingham and Southampton areas.
