HC Deb 09 November 1976 vol 919 c103W
Mr. Viggers

asked the Prime Minister, in the light of the fact that Great Britain alone among NATO countries does not arrange for its Members of Parliament to be submitted to a security vetting procedure, thus preventing NATO visits by hon. Members from taking place on the basis of secret information, if he will explain the reasons for his refusal to institute a voluntary security vetting procedure for hon. Members.

The Prime Minister

No, but if the hon. Member has any specific problem in mind I will be glad to consider it.
