§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) how many persons in Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Hull, Teesside, Bradford, Newcastle upon Tyne, Sunderland, Bolton, Birkenhead, Stockport, Blackpool, Rochdale, Huddersfield, Salford, Blackburn, Oldham and York, respectively, received social security benefits over the last 12 months for which figures are available; and what has been the total cost to public funds of this;
(2) how many persons in London, Bristol, Portsmouth, Southampton, Plymouth, Brighton, Southend-on-Sea, Luton, Bournemouth, Reading, Basildon, Thurrock, Ipswich, Norwich, Torbay and Oxford received social security benefits over the last 12 months for which figures are available; and what has been the total cost to public funds of this;
(3) how many persons in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Aberdeen, Inverness, Stranraer and Paisley received social security benefits over the last 12 months for which figures are available; and what has been the total cost to public funds of this;
(4) how many persons in Swansea, Newport and Cardiff received social security benefits over the last 12 months for which figures are available; and what has been the total cost to public funds of this;
(5) how many persons in Birmingham, Nottingham, Coventry, Leicester, Wolverhampton, Stoke, Derby, Walsall, Warley, Dudley, Northampton and West Bromwich received social security benefits over the last 12 months for which figures are available; and what has been the total cost to public funds of this.
