Mr. Biggs-Davidsonasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many applications for extradition have been made to Irish courts since 1968; of these how many were made in connection with terrorist offences; how many were refused in lower courts; how many granted; and of the latter how many were rejected on appeal to the High Court in Dublin.
§ Mr. JohnI regret that this information is not available for England and Wales. Arrangements have, however, recently been made to obtain regular information from the police about current extradition traffic between England and Wales and the Republic of Ireland.
