§ Dr. SummerskillThe decision relates to the firing of maroons from selected police stations in the London area to announce the commencement and conclusion of the Two Minutes' Silence on Remembrance Day. This cost £1,180 in 1975.
The Two Minutes' Silence will continue to be marked by the firing of a gun on Horse Guards Parade.
