§ 60. Mr. John Huntasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on his meeting with Dr. Carl Czernetz, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, on Monday 25th October.
§ Dr. OwenMy right hon. Friend and Herr Czernetz had a useful talk about Council of Europe affairs, and in particular about the relationship between the Council and the European Community. They found themselves in agreement on all essentials, and my right hon. Friend assured him of the United Kingdom's continuing support for the Council and its work.
