§ Mr. William RodgersIn 1974 the Goverment rejected the support system preferred by BRB for a number of reasons, not least of which was that there was no guarantee that sufficient support would be available. Only one of the considerations was the serious doubt as to whether the system would have been acceptable under EEC rules.
