§ Mr. DeakinsThe term is used in the National Health Service to denote senior staff in administrative, finance and personnel departments and also those staff with managerial responsibilities in the many other disciplines involved, of which doctors, nurses, pharmacists, works staff and catering staff are but a few examples.
