HL Deb 01 November 1976 vol 376 cc1065-6WA
Lord TAYLOR

asked Her Majesty's Government:

How much money will be saved per annum if the decision to close the Bruntsfield Hospital is implemented: and how much money would be saved per annum if the same number of beds were closed at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

The MINISTER of STATE, SCOTTISH OFFICE (Lord Kirkhill)

The proposals by Lothian Health Board relating to Bruntsfield Hospital which have been referred to my right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Scotland do not involve the closure of the hospital; what is proposed is the reallocation of beds between specialties.
