I am informed by the Manpower Services Commission that at 19th October the information is as follows:
which enable actions for damages to be pursued in another EEC member State. However, the United Kingdom has undertaken to accede to the Convention of 27th September 1968 on Jurisdiction and the Enforcement of Judgements in Civil and Commercial Matters which is in force in the original member States and negotiations are currently in progress to this end. The Convention establishes rules of jurisdiction for civil proceedings and will facilitate the bringing of actions of the kind mentioned by the hon. Member. Detailed legislation will be necessary to implement the Convention.
