asked the Secretary of State for Industry what are the functions and duties of the English Industrial Estates Corporation.

Mr. Alan Williams

Broadly speaking to build and manage Government factories in the English assisted areas. The functions are set out in Section 11 of the Local Employment Act 1972, and these were added to in Section 13 of the Industry Act 1972.
