§ Mr. Georgeasked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will give a general direction to British Rail to amend the categories of livestock which it is prepared to carry by rail.
§ Dr. GilbertDecisions on what unaccompanied livestock should be accepted for carriage by rail are a matter for the British Railways Board. However, I understand that the Central 461W Transport Consultative Committee will consider at its June meeting the carriage of unaccompanied livestock, including pigeons, by rail.
