HL Deb 27 May 1976 vol 371 c457WA
Lord CROOK

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will seek to secure that the Post Office issues next year a stamp or series of stamps in celebration of the Centenary of St. John Ambulance which, throughout the century, has provided a loyal voluntary service of thousands of persons for the community at large.

Lord MELCHETT

: The selection of special issues and the preparation of the annual stamp programme is the responsibility of the Post Office. The Post Office has not yet announced its 1977 programme, and I am sure it will take note of the noble Lord's suggestion.
