How many officials, and of which rank, work in—

  1. (a) the European Integration Department of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office; and
  2. (b) the European Unit of the Cabinet Office;
how many have degrees from Continental universities; and how many have worked in the institutions of the EEC or the Council of Europe.

Although several of these officials have attended Continental universities for courses of study of up to a year, none of them holds a degree from such a university nor have any of them worked in the institutions of the EEC or the Council of Europe.
