HC Deb 26 May 1976 vol 912 c256W
Mr. Robertson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what reports he has received on the incidence of glue-sniffing among schoolchildren in Scotland; and what steps he is taking to eradicate this practice.

Mr. Harry Ewing

I am aware of the concern that has rightly been expressed about this practice in some areas of Scotland but I have not received any reports on its overall incidence. I hope that wherever the problem occurs health, education and social work interests and the police will continue to co-operate to bring home to children and their parents the grave dangers of the habit.
