HC Deb 26 May 1976 vol 912 c241W
58. Miss Fookes

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if, in view of the dangers of rabies, he will outline any plans which he has for the general control of dogs

Mr. Denis Howell

I am studying with care the report of the Working Party on Dogs which covers all important aspects of the dog problem. I need time to consider the report before deciding on publication or further action, but I am fully aware of the advantages of a firm control over the dog population in the fight against rabies.
