Mr. Watkinson

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the area and population that each of the DHSS offices in Gloucestershire covers.

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many offices his Department has in Gloucestershire; and how many persons are employed in each of them.

Mr. Deakins

There are three offices, situated at Gloucester, Stroud and Cheltenham, with 188, 91 and 139 staff respectively. There are also facilities for public inquiries at Cinderford, Lydney, Cirencester and Dursley—staffed from Gloucester and Stroud.
