Mr. Robertson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland how many children in care have been placed with foster parents; and how many children are in residential accommodation.

Mr. McElhone

Of the children in care or under supervision at 31st December 1974, 5,576 were with foster parents and 6,074were in residential accommodation.

Mr. Robertson

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the cost of boarding out children in care in local authority residential accommodation per week in Scotland.
