asked the Secretary of State for the Environment when he will next meet the Chairman of British Railways.

I met the chairman last Monday. I shall have further meetings as the need arises.

asked the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will make a statement on British Railways' losses for 1975.

Dr. Gilbert

A detailed statement of these losses is set out in the Railways' Board's report and accounts for 1975. which were laid before Parliament on 12th May.
