§ Mr. Kilroy-Silkasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department (1) how many young persons sentenced to borstal training were located: (a) at local prisons and (b) at remand centres at the latest available date; what are the institutions; and how many young persons, by sex, were located at each;
(2) how long each of the young persons sentenced to borstal training but held in local prisons or remand centres at the latest available date have been held in these institutions.
§ Mr. JohnOn 30th April, 88 sentenced Borstal trainees were held in local prisons and 74 in remand centres. The following table shows the institutions in which they were held:
