asked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he intends to introduce legislation in respect of the measurement and control of aircraft noise.

Section 29 of the Civil Aviation Act 1971 empowers the Secretary of State to control noise at designated aerodromes. This includes provision to require an aerodrome manager to measure aircraft noise.
