§ Mr. Moonmanasked the Secretary of State for Social Services when he intends to publish the names of persons appointed to the panel which will comprise the National Development Team.
§ Mr. EnnalsThe development team panel has yet to be set up. The membership is not envisaged as being appointed on a long-term basis but as consisting of a relatively large number of specialists of a variety of disciplines most of whom are likely to serve for short periods at a time. It is not therefore practicable to publish a panel list. The names of associate directors of the team who will hold longer-term appointments were given in my right hon. Friend's reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Birmingham, Perry Barr (Mr. Rooker) on 17th March.—[Vol. 907, col.545–6.]
Two pilot visits by the team are to be carried out, starting next month. Following this, further visits will be arranged and appropriate panel members appointed.
