§ Mr. Merlyn Rees134 persons have been held in Northern Ireland under the Prevention of Terrorism (Temporary Provisions) Acts 1974 and 1976. 57 of these persons were subsequently charged with the following offences:
Offence Murder 19 Attempted murder 9 Conspiracy to murder 1 Explosives offences 15 Firearms offences 10 Membership of a proscribed organisation 1 Burglary 1 Robbery 1 Offences against the person — Unlawful collection of information 1 Some of the 57 persons were charged with more than one offence.
