Mr. Harold Walker

The information is as follows:

Annual grants £7.7m £10.1m
Loans on capital grant £0.7m £1.1m
1975–76

Mr. Tierney

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what measures he proposes in view of the shortage of work for disabled persons employed in Remploy factories in the West Midlands; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Harold Walker

Remploy itself is responsible for securing orders as part of its commercial operations. I know that the company is doing all it can to improve its sales so as to increase the work it provides for its disabled people.
