asked the Secretary of State for Energy what are the estimated reserves of gas in the southern sector of the North Sea which are at present not being exploited.

Estimates of Southern Basin gas reserves not yet being exploited are shown in lines 2 and 3 of the figures in Table 3 of the 1976 Brown Book and amount to some 6 trillion cubic feet.
