194W1971–72, £0.3 million; 1972–73, £0.5 million; 1973–74, £1.0 million; 1974–75, £4.5 million; 1975–76, £8.3 million; 1976–77, £9.8 million (estimated).In addition, further amounts, which it is not possible to identify separately, are paid to local authorities in respect of these loan charges through housing expenditure subsidy.
