asked the Prime Minister whether he will make a statement about the latest Report of the Review Body for Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration.

The Sixth Report of the Review Body on Doctors' and Dentists' Remuneration covering doctors and dentists in the National Health Service is published today as Cmnd. 6473. Copies are available in the Vote Office. The Government are grateful to the Review Body for this further valuable Report.

The Review Body have recommended an increase in net remuneration for doctors and dentists earning less than £8,500 a year of £312 per annum payable as a supplement to present rates. Proportionately smaller increases are payable to, for example, those working part-time. The increases take effect from the 1st April. 1976. The Review Body's recommendations are in accordance with the anti-inflation policy and the Government are ready to accept them.
