§ Mr. Canavanasked the Secretary of State for Energy whether he will make a statement on the negotiations with the Norwegian Government concerning the joint development of the Frigg offshore gas field.
§ Mr. Benn,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 11th December 1975; Vol. 902, c. 322], gave the following information:
The Frigg Gasfield Agreement between the United Kingdom and Norway is to be signed today. Mr. Tomlinson, Under-Secretary of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and I will sign on behalf of Her Majesty's Government Herr Muller, Secretary General at the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Industry, will sign on behalf of the Norwegian Government. The agreement will be laid as soon as possible. Meanwhile copies of the agreement will be placed in the Libraries of both Houses today.
