§ Dr. OwenLocal authorities have recently been reminded, in the consultative document "Priorities for Health and Personal Social Services in England", of the importance of the role of voluntary organisations, in conjunction with the statutory services, of getting help to people in need. It is, however, for each local authority to decide the extent and level of the assistance it can give to voluntary organisations.
