§ Mr. Macfarlaneasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what discussions his Department has had with representatives of the Schools Council with regard to the GCE and CSE examinations.
§ Miss Margaret JacksonThe Department is represented on the Schools Council and is thus in close touch with the council's work on my right hon. Friend's behalf. If formal discussions are necessary when the council puts to my right hon. Friend proposals for the reform of the GCE and CSE examinations, these will be arranged.
